Since I'm usually the one with the camera, it's hard to get pictures of myself! And what's worse, I'm annoyed by how I look in pictures. So many of them never get past my critical eye, and are buried somewhere deep in the computer. The photo on the left was taken at the summit of Saddle Mountain in July, 2001. It had been a steep, three mile climb, and was a complete whiteout at the top. It was romantic, like standing in the clouds. Several weeks later I hiked to Twin Lakes near Detroit, Oregon. It was a good 14 miles, round trip, and my dad and I managed it in four hours of vigorous hiking. Hiking at Crater Lake, Oregon, July 2001 Older pictures, before I cut my hair. Yes, I really did it. But it's still beautiful. I just had some of the length removed, and am growing it out again. It's much healthier now, and has more life and bounce. I never took it above the shoulders, and it's currently around the middle of my back. |
