Magnus Visit the Pacific Northwest
In July of 2001, Magnus from Sweden visited and had lots of adventures.
Some of it is recorded in pictures:

Here he discovered the web cam.
Summer Lake
Later we went to Summer Lake, Oregon and visited with some good friends. On
the way over we made several stops in the Cascades, and at one park there were
squirrels that took fruit and nuts from your hands. We took lots of pictures
of horseback riding at Summer Lake.

Crater Lake
On the way home from Summer Lake, we visited Crater Lake. It
was unbelievable. Probably one of the most beautiful places in the world! Lots
more pictures here.

Saddle Mountain
After returning to the West side of the Cascades, we got a
small group together and climbed Saddle Mountain near Astoria, Oregon. More
pictures here.

We got up early to climb the mountain. The drive took longer than the hike,
but we still managed to be at the summit by noon. In the car picture, left to
right: Paul (my dad), Alicia Williams, Rachel (my mom), David Brugger's car
Magnus (with his back to us). In the next two pictures, left to right: Magnus,
Brooke (me), Alicia and Lorna.

Here is a picture of my Dad, resting at the summit of Saddle Mountain.
Beside him is Bob Korn, a friend from as far back as college days. Later that
afternoon we went down to the Ocean and spent the day on the beach.

As evening approached, we watched the sunset at Proposal Rock.
Part two... We went on to visit Silver
Creek Falls and Seattle. Some of the pictures have been developed and can be
viewed here.
